Terms of Service

Version 2026-08 · Last updated: September 2026

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Pavel Kravets (Mexico) — "we", "us" — who operates TakeMySlot at takemyslot.org. By signing in or creating an account you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Contact: privacy@takemyslot.org.

2. What the service is — and is not

TakeMySlot is a self-service tool: a personal calendar, booking links that let guests reserve your available time, optional Google Calendar synchronization, and the emails that go with them.

It is software, nothing more. We are not a party to any meeting arranged through it. We do not organize, attend, host, moderate or supervise meetings; we do not verify the identity, credentials, intentions or conduct of any user or guest; and we do not check what users publish on their booking pages. Everything that passes between you and your guests is solely between you and them. The calendars, contacts and content in the service belong to the account holders, not to us.

3. Beta and availability

The service is offered in beta, free of charge, as-available. There is no service level, no uptime commitment and no support commitment. We may change, limit, suspend or discontinue any feature, or the whole service, at any time and without liability. Registration may be waitlisted or closed at our discretion. If we introduce paid plans, you will be told and given a choice before anything could be charged.

4. Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • You are responsible for your credentials, for the email account you sign in with, and for everything done under your account.
  • The information you provide must be accurate and must not impersonate anyone.
  • One person, one account; accounts are not transferable.

5. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use the service to:

  • send unsolicited or bulk invitations (spam), or invitations unrelated to genuine meetings;
  • harvest, scrape or resell personal data of guests or other users;
  • impersonate a person or organization, or misrepresent who a booking page belongs to;
  • upload or share unlawful, malicious or infringing content, including meeting attachments;
  • probe, overload, disrupt or circumvent the service's security or rate limits, or access it by automated means other than the provided interfaces;
  • violate any applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate any account that breaches this section, endangers the service or its users, or damages email deliverability for everyone — immediately and without notice where the risk requires it.

6. Your content and your guests' data

  • You keep all rights to what you add: contacts, notes, files, branding. You grant us only the technical licence needed to store, process and transmit it in order to run the service for you.
  • You are the data controller for everything in your calendar, including the details your guests submit when they book. You decide what to collect and why; you must have a lawful basis for it; you must give your guests the privacy information the law requires of you; and you must handle their requests about their data. We hold that data only as your processor and act on your instructions, which are given through your use of the features.
  • As your processor we will: use that data only to run the service for you and for no purpose of our own; keep it confidential; use the sub-processors named in our Privacy Policy, which you authorise by accepting these terms; and delete it when you delete your account. Any assistance you need beyond that — audits, bespoke reports, responses on your behalf — is at your expense and subject to our agreement.
  • You must have the right to upload every file you attach and to store every contact you add.

7. Third-party services

The service depends on providers we do not control, including Google, our hosting, database, email and bot-protection providers. Their outages, changes, rate limits, spam filtering and account decisions are outside our control and are not a breach of these terms by us. Connecting Google Calendar is your choice and is additionally governed by Google's own terms.

8. Emails

The service sends transactional email to you and, on your behalf, to your guests: booking confirmations, calendar invites, reminders, sign-in codes and account notices. These are part of the service and are not marketing; we will not send you marketing email without a separate opt-in. Whether any individual message arrives is determined by receiving mail systems, not by us.

9. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that availability will be calculated correctly, that bookings, synchronization, invites, emails or reminders will be delivered at all or on time, or that data will be preserved. We have no obligation to store, retain or back up your data: keep your own records and manage your own meetings.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for missed, duplicated or double-booked meetings; calendar synchronization errors; undelivered, delayed or misdirected email; loss or corruption of data; the acts or omissions of your guests, of other users or of third-party providers; or for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of profit, business, goodwill or opportunity, however caused. Our total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the greater of EUR 50 or what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, proceedings, fines and costs (including reasonable legal fees) brought by your guests, other third parties or any authority, to the extent they arise from your use of the service, the content you publish, or your handling of your guests' data.

12. Termination

  • By you: delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible and removes your profile, calendar, contacts and files. Export anything you need first.
  • By us: we may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, for extended inactivity in beta, or if the service is discontinued. Where reasonable we will give notice at your account email.
  • Sections 6, 9, 10, 11 and 15 survive termination.

13. Events beyond our control

We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control, including provider or network failures, attacks, power or internet outages, and acts of government.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the version and date at the top will change. For material changes we will notify you at your account email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that country have jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer protections of your own country of residence remain unaffected.

16. Miscellaneous

If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement; we may assign it as part of a transfer of the service. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the service.
